Getting to be a habit

Coffee this morning was simple and easy. Opened a fresh packet of ground coffee for this round, and MMMMMM does the freshly opened packet smell ooooooweeeeeee.

There are a good dozen empty tins of coffee on the shelves. How much of that have I drunk personally over the last year? Quite a bit I would say.

Thanks Andre

Very nice coffee Andre, did you microwave this one?

Cheating!

This morning there will be no coffee made by me in the office - I went out and bought one from Chris's Takeaway. Mmmm yum Chris's coffee goodness.

Greg the New Guy

Good coffee this morning, but a little disappointing that Greg the New Guy doesn't drink hot caffienated beverages of any description.

This time I left the coffee to sit in the plunger for about five minutes after agitation to settle the grounds before plunging. The end result was still about the same general amount of grounds, but a very smooth taste which I attribute to the additional infusion time.

7/10

Morning coffee, afternoon coffee

Both coffees today I felt were well up to scratch. The technique this morning was to remove all the air bubbles from below the filter piston before pushing the plunger, to increase the amount of filter space. This seemed to work well, but the coffees would have been black were it not for the generous donation of Damien's lactose-free milk. Thanks Damien!

Andre made a coffee in the afternoon which was also excellent. Not a trace of grounds, well mixed, sugar levels perfect. Just the most excellent coffee.

Thanks to all who participated today.

Coffee disappointing

This morning's coffee was disappointing. I used the large plunger, which I think lets through more grounds than the small plunger. I also put in more coffee than I usually would.

I would give it a 4 out of 10.
